Coffee in Costa Rica
Playing an integral part in Costa Rica’s development, production of coffee started in 1796 as the country began experimenting with profit generating crops. By 1816 Costa Rica had a flourishing coffee industry which by 1890 is the country’s sole export.

Today, coffee is the third highest value export after banana’s and pineapples; still a critically important crop. Costa Rica celebrates one of the highest yields in the world thanks to modern farming practice in fertilisation and irrigation, this is supported by strong governmental regulation.

Title : COSTA RICAN "La lapa" COFFEE
Review : This is a great coffee for those who like a full bodied espresso with with a sweet acidity and notes of chocolate and citrus it also exhibits a honey sweetness. In short it's typical high altitude Costa Rican. As a latte or flat white it becomes very smooth and makes a great "first cup of the day". Another win from Andrew.... Costa Rican that does not Cost a lot, five stars or two thumbs up take your pick.
